The Mini Space Saving Staircase is great solution when space is tight. The special paddle step arrangement means the staircase takes up much less space than a conventional staircase. It is constructed with a stylish interlocking steel spine with solid beech treads and arrives with vertical steel spindles and a timber handrail to match the treads. The staircase is supplied in either a straight flight, quarter turn or half turn configuration with the addition of small platforms at the turn. Balustrade (spindles and handrail) is included to one side as most staircases run up against a wall but there is also the option to purchase this balustrade on the second side if required.

Riser infill Bars

Riser bars can be added to an order to reduce the gap between steps.

In the UK, regulations stipulate a maximum tread gap of 100mm to prevent small children from falling through.

The riser bars consist of a 20mm steel bar, fitted horizontally between the steps, which maintains an open riser while reducing the gap.

To include riser bars in your order, simply select ‘YES’ in the riser bar dropdown menu.

If you are uncertain about the necessity of riser bars, please consult your building control officer.

Riser bars can be fitted retrospectively after the stairs are assembled, but if ordered separately, an additional delivery charge will apply.

Balustrade for Landing

Landing balustrade is available and sold in 1m length kits. Each kit can be adjusted and cut to suit and can be fitted in a straight run or curved.

An individual kit consists of;-

1m length of handrail to match stair
1 x floor support post
1 x handrail to handrail connecting piece
1 x spindle to spindle connector
1 x spindle to wall connector

Delivery Info

The Mini Space Saving Staircase is considered a custom made order and it is sourced directly from the factory in Italy and delivered to your door.

Delivery times are typically between 4 and 6 weeks from order but this can increase over summer and Christmas periods.

As this is a custom made product we are not able to accept cancelations.

When the staircase arrives in the UK, the transport company will call you directly to arrange a suitable day for delivery. This is a ‘kerbside’ delivery with most vehicles equipped with a tail-lift and pump truck so the pallet can be wheeled to a safe location across even terrain. A signature will be required to accept the goods and confirm they have arrived in good condition. The delivery company generally delivers between 8am and 5pm during the week.

Delivery is included to mainland UK destinations.

Frequently asked Questions

What Size of opening do I need in the floor?

This will depend on the shape of the staircase and the height of the floor. Use the configurations guide on the right to see the footprint of each stair in plan view. The hole in the floor above will ideally be the same as the footprint below with the quarter and half turn flights but on the straight run – add a little to the width to allow for knuckle gap clearance.

How long does delivery take?

The Mini Space saver is made to order and produced in Italy. It generally takes 4-6 weeks to received your stair.

How much space with it need?

This will depend on the height of the floor and the shape of the stair. Plus use the configurations guide on the right to see the footprint plans. A typical 12 riser straight flight would have a total ‘run’ of 1480mm, measured horizontally along the floor.

How difficult is the stair to install?

In the majority of instances, the stair is installed in a day by 2 people. This of course will depend on the competency of the individuals and the height of the stair and the amount of landing balustrade. Some customers opt to employ a builder or carpenter whist more experienced DIYers tackle it themselves.
