Our customer for this project was refurbishing a unit for a well known Wine Bar chain in the old BBC centre, West London.

The plans showed the spiral staircase was going to be the first thing customers saw when entering the premises, so we had to create something a little special. Working with our client, we decided on a spiral with a stringer around the circumference of the spiral – thus giving the effect of a helical structure. This, along with the stainless steel horizontal bars in the balustrade created a real ‘sweep’ to the spiral.

We added at stainless steel handrail which we also attached to the centre column and matched the Oak treads to the flooring being installed throughout.
