This was a bespoke spiral staircase supplied to a firm in Clapham, London.  The company had just installed a new mezzanine floor in a loft space and required a spiral staircase for access.  We were working closely with the mezzanine floor company from an early stage and were able to specify the opening required.

As it was classed as a semi commercial spiral we ensured the spiral had a clear tread width of 800mm and a centre column handrail.  The treads were supplied in 30mm solid beech and the handrail 42mm diameter stainless steel.  The centre column was supplied in one continuous piece and the balustrade was formed with 10mm vertical steel spindles.  The steelwork on this ‘Spiral Stair Clapham’ project was powder coated to match the window frames in the building.
